Remote Readings

Would you be interested in having your cards read via Skype or a Google Hangout? I don’t know if it will work (I’ve always been told that contact is important), but I’m interested in trying it out.

Happy Dia de los Muertos!

Dia de los Muertos is the Mexican tradition of honoring our ancestors by visiting graveyards, setting up altars with pictures of dead family and friends, decorated and set with offerings of food, paper banners, and flowers. It’s a lovely tradition that keeps the memories of those who have passed alive and in some small way, keeps them alive, too.

While the “Night of Remembrance” coincides with Halloween and bears similar trappings of ghosts and skeletons, the two celebrations are very different. Calling it “Mexican Halloween” does it a disservice, like calling Hannukah “Jewish Christmas.” They’re just not the same.

You can read more about it here.
